Moving Tips
Tips for your big day

-
Make sure pets are suitably catered for as moving and busy environments can be stressful for your animal
-
Try to keep entrance / exits clear for the porters to move around
-
Make sure boxes and bags are clearly marked with labels or room numbers and that the rooms to be moved into have labels on doors
-
By labeling boxes can also make unpacking easier and help you save time if you are looking for a specific item
-
If you have children try to ask a family member to have them as sometimes children can get excited which can lead to injury and extended removal time
MAKE A LIST
Making a list of which items are in which boxes will save time when it comes to looking for important items such as medication, food or baby essentials this will also save stress on the days after your move.
We also offer a packing service which will cover the above.
SAY GOODBYE TO UNUSED STUFF
Prior to your move it may be a good idea to have a clear out to condense any space being used for more important items, this will also reduce the volume of your move for example you may need 2 vans or 2 trips but after a clear out you may only need 1 van which will save you money in the long run.
GET STURDY, UNIFORM PACKING SUPPLIES
We can sell you packing materials but if you provide your own we ask that all boxes are packed securely with quality materials so your belongings are properly protected against damage.
PACK THE BASICS YOURSELF
We recommend all valuable and private items are packed by yourself and transported by you such as laptops, tablets and phones as well as private documents and any clothing and sanitary items you may require during your move. This will give you peace of mind and cover yourselves in the unfortunate event of any mishaps.
